I had to take a break from all of this. I decided that I must go back to where all of this came from. In my absence from this blog, I have been reading "The Secret Doctrine" by Blavatsky. It is a very difficult book to read....some parts I've had to read many more times than I would like to admit to. But as with all things, the more effort you put into something, the larger the reward. Here are some quotes I fond on the internet for you all to consider:
1. "Everything in the Universe, throughout all its kingdoms, is conscious: i.e., endowed with a consciousness of its own kind and on its own plane of perception."
2. "If coming events are said to cast their shadows before, past events cannot fall to leave their impress behind them."
3. "The chief difficulty which prevents men of science from believing in divine as well as in nature Spirits is their materialism."
4. "Sadness is not an evil. Complain not; what seem to be sufferings and obstacles are often in reality the mysterious efforts of nature to help you in your work if you can manage them properly. Look upon all circumstances with the gratitude of a pupil. All complaint is a rebellion against the law of progress."
5. "Knowledge increases in proportion to its use; that is, the more we teach the more we learn"
I've only gotten through a few hundred pages of Volume I and so far my mind is mush.
It is very interesting that Blavatsky wrote this book in the late 1800's and she mentions things that "science" is just now catching up on.....
